Den här en engelsktextad fantastisk inspirerande bilderbok om de kända stickade Oleana tröjorna.
”At Oleana, we try to make fine garments wich people can love. Clothes wich are produced in an honest way and with a quality and pattern wich perhaps have a special story to tell”.
“Oleana – the Norwegian Story” 2010 is the year that we made our dream of writing a book about OLEANA come true!
We know that many people are interested in learning more about this young Norwegian textile factory that ’goes against the stream’. We think differently from most of the other companies in the textile industry, and our production takes place in Norway. Our biggest ambition is not to earn as much money as possible, but to make beautiful products in natural fibres – wool, silk, and alpaca, and to have a thriving working atmosphere in our factory.
We want everybody to know how our products are made and under what conditions — OLEANA — REALLY made in Norway!
The book is published by Cappelen Damm, and is written in an informal manner with lots of colourful pictures. Oleana’s designer, Solveig Hisdal, has taken most of the pictures, so she is responsible for the photographic input. Two of Oleana’s founders, Kolbjorn Valestrand and Signe Aarhus have written the text.
